Allison Janicki
Consumed

Graphite on Paper
Artist Statement
Consumed is a product of experimentation. Done with a simple graphite mechanical pencil on sketch paper, this piece was an attempt at seeing what happens when pencil is put to paper without a plan. The result is a haunting reflection of the creator’s own subconscious and reveals the reciprocal relationship between art and the artist: Who consumes whom?
